Bourne never trailed from that moment on, scoring in five different frames as part of their 10-run performance. The pitching staff assisted in the win, with the bullpen’s 13th shutout effort of the season.
Last Time Out - Hyannis
The Harbor Hawks cruised past Cotuit in their first round matchup. After a 7-0 win in game one, Hyannis came back strong in game two with a 7-1 victory. Going into the fourth inning, the game was tied at one. Hyannis scored six unanswered runs from there, highlighted by a three-run home run by Matt Ineich (West Virginia). The Harbor Hawks’ pitching staff struck out 10 in the win and allowed only four hits.

The Harbor Hawks won the season series 3-2 over the Braves. After Bourne won the first matchup 13-3, Hyannis came back to win three of the next four, including twice in the last two weeks of the regular season.
Player to Watch - Bourne
For the Braves to pull off the upset over the Harbor Hawks, Rustan Rigdon (Vanderbilt) will need to have a big series. Bourne’s utilityman was one of its most consistent players during the regular season, playing in 37 games with a .246 batting average, 17 RBI, and 19 stolen bases. In his first two postseason games, Rigdon collected a double and three walks.
Player to Watch - Hyannis
Matt Ineich was a big part of Hyannis’ regular season and first round success. The shortstop reached base five times in the Harbor Hawks’ first round sweep of Cotuit, including a three-run home run in game two. During the regular season, Ineich had an on-base percentage of .450 and 12 RBI.
