That all changed on Sunday night when Orleans snatched the Braves’ four-game winning streak in front of a packed Orleans crowd, taking the matchup 5–2.

Down 8-1 in the bottom of the fourth, things couldn’t have started out worse for Orleans.

Leading against the Anglers in the bottom of the seventh, it seemed like the Birds were going to deliver a Fourth of July win in front of a packed Eldredge Park — until they didn’t.

Despite a shortened matchup due to thunder and lighting, there was one Firebirds player who led the charge in defeating the Anglers: Cashel Dugger.

For Orleans, it’s clear what needs to be done to end the skid.
