Bourne vs. Hyannis, Harwich vs. Yarmouth-Dennis will battle for a spot in the Championship Series

HYANNIS, Mass., August 6 2026 - The Divisional Finals of the Cape Cod Baseball League Playoffs, presented by Reader’s Hardwood Supply, are set. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks will take on the Bourne Braves in the West Divisional Final, and the Harwich Mariners will battle the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the East Divisional Final. The best-of-three series will run from August 7-9, with the winner advancing to the Cape Cod Baseball League Championship Series.

How They Got There:

Hyannis Harbor Hawks

The Harbor Hawks took care of business against the Cotuit Kettleers in a 2-0 series sweep in round one. Jonah Barkoff, Brayden Sharp, Bruce Littleton and Tom Mahoney combined for a shutout in a 7-0 game one victory with just three hits, with Tyler Long driving the offense with two hits and two runs.

The Hawks’ offense shined in game two, with four runs being scored in the first five innings. At the top of the lineup, Matt Ineich had two RBIs, including a solo home run, while Jax Giminez drove in three more runs. Standout pitcher Raymond Olivas only allowed one run in 4.1 innings.

Bourne Braves

The Bourne Braves also cruised to the West Divisional Finals after eliminating the Falmouth Commodores in a clean 2-0 sweep. Leadoff hitter Ryker Waite scored three times as the defending champions took an 8-2 game one victory at Doran Park.

The Braves then continued their dominant streak with a 10-2 win over the Commodores, with eight runs being scored in five innings, led by Waite, Justin Osterhouse, and Austin Hawke, all recording multi-hit games. Osterhouse and Luke Costello both slammed shots out of Guv Fuller Field in the win.

In a nail-biter game two, the Mariners advanced to the East Divisional Final in a 6-5 extra-inning win. The game went back-and-forth all night, with JP Peltier’s three-run slam out of BFC Whitehouse Field opening up scoring, followed by Brewster’s quick response with a three-run homer of their own to give the Whitecaps a 4-3 lead. Harwich and Brewster both managed additional runs to make the score a 5-5 gridlock going into extra innings. Sean O’Leary was the game’s hero when his walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th sent the Mariners to the East Division Finals as they look to return to the Championship Series for the first time since winning the championship in 2024.

Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox

Reigning Manager of the Year Scott Pickler’s squad faced obstacles to get to the Divisional Final, with the Chatham Anglers taking a 9-5 upset win in game one of the first round. The Red-Sox bounced back in game two, taking a 1-0 victory. Ryder Robinson's’s solo home run was the difference-maker.

In game three, the Red Sox looked like their usual selves in an 8-2 victory over the Anglers. Every run was scored via the home run, led by Reid Howard’s three-run blast, Mateo Serna’s two-run shot, and Jake Souders’ three-run homer.
