The Braves got revenge on the Hyannis Harbor Hawks on Saturday night. After a loss to Hyannis earlier this week, Bourne got off to another slow start. Trailing 2-0 going into their half of the fifth, the Braves’ offense erupted for six runs in the frame to take a 6-2 lead. The Harbor Hawks had no answer, scoring two runs in the ninth to make it closer, but ultimately losing 6-4.
Last Time Out - Brewster
The Whitecaps scored a big win over the league-leading Y-D Red Sox, putting them within a game of taking over the top spot. The Red Sox were first on the board Saturday, putting up their only run in the fourth. From there, a late-inning rally propelled Brewster. The Whitecaps scored runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to earn a 5-1 victory.

Brewster has a 2-1 series lead over Bourne this summer, with all three matchups coming in June. In their last battle, the Whitecaps took a page out of the Braves’ playbook with a nine-run seventh inning to secure a 10-7 win.
Player to Watch - Bourne
Rustan Rigdon (Vanderbilt) has been getting hot at the plate, but has also become a force on the basepaths. The Braves’ utility man has 17 stolen bases this summer, tying him for the most in the Cape Cod Baseball League this summer. Rigdon has been especially productive over the past week, stealing five bags over his last five games.
“I’m just staying aggressive,” said Rigdon about stealing bases after Saturday’s win. “I’m reading the pitcher, getting all the information I can, and executing. I try to get good jumps and steal the bases.”
Player to Watch - Brewster
When you look into why Brewster has done so well this season, it’s hard to avoid the name Jacob Lee. The catcher out of VCU has been on a tear, with hits in six of his last seven games. Starting 25 games for the Whitecaps this summer, Lee is hitting .301 with six home runs, an OPS of .915, and 21 RBI.
