The fifth edition of the Cape League Power Rankings comes as the regular season enters its final stretch, with every team now more than 30 games into the summer. These rankings weigh recent performance, overall consistency and momentum as the playoff race begins to take shape. With only a handful of games remaining, every win and loss carries added weight in the battle for postseason positioning.

1. Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (25-5-1) Previously: 1

Y-D became the first team to clinch a playoff berth after losing just five games through the first two months of the season. With the league's highest-scoring offense and strongest pitching staff, the Red Sox's +98 run differential continues to climb, another sign of their continued dominance. BYU shortstop Ryder Robinson has made an immediate impact, homering and stealing two bases in his first two games. Their 2.22 team ERA is just as impressive as their .715 team OPS, and Scott Pickler has maintained the same competitive mentality every night this summer. In a remarkable metric, Y-D's 14 most-used pitchers all sport ERAs below 3.00. With a postseason berth secured and the playoffs approaching, Pickler's focus now shifts toward bringing the Red Sox their first Cape League championship in a decade.

2. Brewster Whitecaps (21-8-3) Previously: 2

Brewster continues its ascension toward the top of the league after becoming the second team to clinch a playoff berth with its 20th victory of the summer. Jamie Shevchik's Whitecaps are playing as a team possessed with supreme confidence on both sides of the ball. Catcher and Home Run Derby participant Jacob Lee leads Brewster with five home runs, while Jamie Laskofski and Jay Abernathy have provided consistent production at the plate. Payton Manca remains the ace with a 1.48 ERA through six starts and 24.1 innings pitched. Gaines Estridge strengthened an already loaded rotation by tossing six scoreless innings on Thursday, while fellow Air Force Academy cadet Sam Hentges has followed suit with 3.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. With one of the league's deepest pitching staffs and an uber-confident offense, Brewster has firmly established itself as a championship contender and will have its sights set on overtaking Y-D when the postseason begins.

3. Bourne Braves (16-12-3) Previously: 3

The Bourne Braves continue to climb the power rankings after their slowest start in half a decade. Despite the early struggles, Bourne holds a five-point lead atop the West Division, though it still trails Y-D by 16 points in the overall standings. The Braves' 3.10 team ERA ranks second in the Cape League, and their pitching staff has been the foundation of their success. Bourne has also turned Doran Park into a fortress, posting an 11-5 home record. Andrew and Luke Costello are tied for the team lead with 19 RBIs apiece, while the Braves' .250 batting average leads the league. Will Whelan has surrendered just one run across 18 innings, and Jackson Kircher has yet to allow an earned run through 13.2 innings out of the bullpen. Scott Landers' club has yet to officially clinch a playoff berth and remains slightly behind its usual place in the standings, but the talent is undeniable, and Bourne has proven time and again it knows how to peak when the postseason arrives.

4. Hyannis Harbor Hawks (15-15) Previously: 5

For the first time this season, the Harbor Hawks are playing .500 baseball. Mitch Karraker's club has won three straight and continues to thrive with its offense-first style of play. Hyannis still leads the Cape League with 22 home runs, spread across 12 different hitters, highlighting one of the league's deepest and most versatile lineups. Caden Miller leads the team with three home runs and 12 RBIs, while shortstop Charlie Bates has been a steady presence in the middle infield. Brady St. Pierre has anchored the rotation, allowing just two runs over a team-high 17.2 innings. Although Hyannis' 4.73 team ERA ranks near the bottom of the league, its offense has consistently delivered in close games. The Harbor Hawks still have a chance to catch Bourne for the West Division lead as they continue to chip away at the deficit. After a sluggish first half weighed down their overall numbers, Hyannis has played some of its best baseball of the summer and could be peaking at exactly the right time heading into the postseason.

5. Harwich Mariners (17-15) Previously: 4

Harwich has hit a rough patch, dropping five straight, but its early-season success has kept the Mariners firmly in postseason position. Steve Englert's club remains stuck at third in the East Division, sitting 11 points behind Brewster and nine points ahead of the Chatham Anglers. While Harwich's pitching has faltered in recent weeks, its offense continues to be the team's biggest strength. Ty Smolinski leads the Cape League with six home runs, and Colin Larson is second on the team with 26 hits in 26 games. Riley Goodman has been the rotation's workhorse, logging a league-leading 27 innings with a 4.67 ERA. If Englert can find more consistency from his pitching staff to complement one of the league's most dangerous offenses, Harwich has the talent to make a deep postseason run.
