The Braves enter today’s contest on a two-game win streak and will look to push it to three against the Falmouth Commodores. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET. Bourne is coming off a 4-3 eight-inning victory over Cotuit, while Falmouth looks to bounce back from a shutout loss to Hyannis.

Probables

Bourne - RHP Christian Lucarelli (Virginia): 2.1 IP, 0.00 ERA

Falmouth - RHP Kenyon Collins (Marshall): 14.2 IP, 1.23 ERA

Last Time Out - Bourne

In a back-and-forth game, Bourne was able to come out on top in its eight-inning matchup with Cotuit on Tuesday. Heading into the final frame tied at two, the Braves rallied for a two-run eighth inning to give themselves an advantage. The Kettleers rallied for a run in the bottom of the frame, and had runners on the corners before RHP Ben Dean (Duke) struck out the final batter to earn his first save of the season.

Last Time Out - Falmouth

Not much went right for the Commodores as their winless streak was extended to three games on Tuesday. Facing the Harbor Hawks, Falmouth was able to muster only five hits that resulted in no runs. Despite holding Hyannis to only two hits on the night, a two-run throwing error and a Harbor Hawks’ RBI groundout in the second inning cost the Commodores the game.

Previous Matchup

This will be the fourth matchup between the Braves and Commodores this season. After their first faceoff ended in a tie, each team has secured a win against the other.

Player to Watch - Bourne

One Bravo that may be poised for a breakout is Josiah Overbeek (Mississippi State). Since joining the team a week ago, Overbeek has seen regular playing time at first base. At the plate, he’s already had two multi-hit games, with a double in each contest.

Player to Watch - Falmouth

Kenyon Collins has been one of Falmouth’s best pitchers in his limited action this season. Collins has made four appearances and three starts this year, totaling a 1.23 ERA over 14.2 innings. His first start of the year came the first time the Commodores visited Doran Park. Collins pitched three scoreless innings in which he allowed three hits and two walks, helping Falmouth leave with a tie.
