The Falmouth Commodores hosted Military Night on July 3rd, during the Cotuit Kettleers game at Guv Fuller Field. Military members, their families, and friends attended this annual event honoring both active-duty service members and veterans in our community.

The pre-game ceremony featured Laura Burnham singing the U.S. National Anthem.

Major General Virginia I. Gaglio, who is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, threw out the ceremonial first pitch and yelled “play ball”.

Several military support organizations had booths set up for the pre-game ceremonies and throughout the game to provide information about their services. These organizations include: the Cape Cod Vets Center, Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center, Heroes in Translation, Home Base, Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break, and the Town of Falmouth Veterans Services.

Military personnel received a free 250th-anniversary commemorative coin and raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes from local businesses, as well as a discount on Commodores’ merchandise.
