FALMOUTH, Mass. – Six Falmouth Commodores grazed Guv Fuller Field to showcase their talents for 4,550 fans and MLB scouts for the 2024 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game on Saturday for the first All-Star Game in Falmouth since 2003.
“So much fun,” catcher Karson Bowen said on his All-Star experience. “Getting to meet all these other guys has been so cool. That’s the best part. I always think of these things is meeting all the other guys from different teams and you know you play against them, but then you actually get to play with them and it’s really fun.”
Here are the highlights for the Commodore All-Stars:
Karson Bowen - TCU
Bowen was the starting catcher for the West Division. He caught pitches from Hyannis Harbor Hawk Aaron Savary (Iowa), Cotuit Kettleer Michael Ebner (USC), Bourne Brave Joe Ariola (Wake Forest), Commodore Edward Hart (Duke) and Commodore Parker Coil (Arkansas).
“It’s tough sometimes getting to catch those guys,” Bowen explained catching from three new pitchers. “But they’re here for a reason and they’re really good. Then getting to catch Ed and Parker was just awesome.”
Offensively, Bowen put up an RBI in the bottom of the second off a groundout. He also was able to pick up a walk in the bottom of the fourth.
Jayson Jones - Oklahoma State
Jones was the starting right fielder for the West. He snagged two flyouts in the top of the second and fourth.
Offensively, Jones had a rocky start with a strikeout in the bottom of the second. In the bottom of the fourth, he redeemed himself with a single and a run off a wild pitch.
Edward Hart - Duke
Hart was on the mound for the top of the fourth. His stat line was two hits allowed, two runs allowed, no walks given up and an 18.00 ERA.

Parker Coil - Arkansas
Coil followed Hart on the mound in the top of the fifth with a similar performance. His stat line was two allowed hits, two runs allowed, no walks given up, one strikeout and an 18.00 ERA.
Trent Caraway - Oregon State
Caraway, on top of the All-Star Game, was a contestant in the Home Run Contest. He first took down Brewster Whitecap Brody Donay (Florida) to advance to the finals with Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox Ethan Petry (South Carolina) and Wareham Gateman Nate Earley (Louisville).
Petry and Earley outhit Caraway and Petry ultimately was named the Home Run Contest Champion. Caraway then sat tight until the top of the fifth to check in at third base.
Offensively, Caraway got a single up in the bottom of the sixth. He recorded another single in the bottom of the eighth. Caraway also was able to punch in a run off a fielding error from the East Division All-Stars. For his final at-bat, he grounded out to close out his All-Star campaign.

Jaxon Willits - Oklahoma
Willits checked into the game at shortstop at the top of the fifth. He grabbed a pop out in the top of the seventh and had the assist on a groundout at first in the top of the ninth to pick up a 1-2-3 inning for the West.
Offensively, he struggled with his first at-bat with a ground ball into a double plate in the bottom of the seventh. In the bottom of the ninth, he picked up a walk to get on base and stole second base to get into scoring position. He came home to help lead the West to clinch the last-minute win, 9-8.
Yarmouth-Dennis will hold the 2025 Cape League All-Star Game at Merrill “Red” Wilson Field.
