The Oklahoma catcher has played in all 12 games for Y-D and has not recorded a hit in only three of those while recording multiple hits in three games as well. Carmichael is batting .375 on the season (fourth in CCBL), is third in the league in RBI (11), is tied for the league lead in doubles and is second in total bases (25).

Y-D overview

Y-D holds solo first place in the CCBL East and slotted in second in the first CCBL power rankings. It followed up its 9-2 loss to Cotuit on Wednesday with a two-game winning streak heading into Saturday. After a tough offensive night where the Red Sox were able to crack just five hits, with three of those coming from Ethan Petry, the squad is batting .266 total over its last two contests with 17 hits. The Red Sox are also second in the CCBL in OPS over the last two days at .838. In its first matchup against Falmouth, Y-D
ran up the run total behind 10 hits and a 5-for-11 performance as a team at the plate with runners in scoring position. Y-D’s 10 runs in this one remains the team’s highest run total in a game so far this season.

Falmouth has been sloppy on defense with a league-leading 20 errors on the season and has allowed the most stolen bases in the league with 23. The Commodores have won all of their games at home and are drastically better at the plate on their home turf. Falmouth has hit .286 at home this season, the third-best batting average at home in the CCBL, compared to just a .189 batting average on the road, which is a league-worst.
