HYANNIS, Mass., August 2 2026 - Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox first baseman Tommy Goodin and Hyannis Harbor Hawks right-handed pitcher Raymond Olivas have been named the Franklin Sports Player of the Week and the Baseball Lifestyle 101 Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week of July 26 - August 1, the league announced Sunday.
Goodin, a Vanderbilt University slugger, earns the honor for the second time this season after recording 13 hits on a 0.500/0.552/0.923 slash line, including five doubles and two home runs. He also drove in 12 runs across six games for the Red Sox. Goodin currently leads the league in RBI with 31. The Commodore also drew three walks while striking out only only once.
A driving force behind Yarmouth-Dennis’ success, Goodin recorded five multi-hit games in six appearances as the Red Sox captured the East Division title and the best overall record on the Cape.
Olivas, who hurls for the University of California, Santa Barbara, had a dominant outing for the Harbor Hawks, pitching five shutout innings against the Harwich Mariners to pick up his third win of the season. Olivas scattered three hits and struck out seven without walking a batter. He now has a 2.70 ERA and 0.94 WHIP on the season. Olivas has held opposing batters this season to a .198 average, sitting in the top ten among Cape League pitchers.
