Chatham’s Fraser rakes, Hyannis’ Alivo deals: Cape League announces Weekly Award winners

HYANNIS, Mass. (June 21, 2026) – Chatham Anglers infielder Gabe Fraser and Hyannis Harbor Hawks right-hander Kyle Alivo have been named the Franklin Sports Player of the Week and the Baseball Lifestyle 101 Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week of June 14-20, the Cape Cod Baseball League announced today.

Fraser, a versatile infielder from Florida State, emerges as the Cape League’s top player after he went 10-for-21 with two home runs, two doubles, eight RBIs and three stolen bases across six games for the Anglers, highlighted by his performance June 18 vs. Cotuit, where he went 4-for-5 with two home runs and six RBIs.

Fraser capped off his Player of the Week performance with a perfect 3-for-3 against Falmouth on Saturday, June 20. He ended up boasting a slash line of .476/.522/.857, 1.379 OPS, leading the league in both batting average and OPS at the conclusion of the first week of the 2026 season.

Alivo, a right-hander from Iowa, takes the week’s top honor for pitchers after dominating in two starts for the Harbor Hawks, not allowing a single run. He opened his 2026 season against Wareham, where he allowed two hits over four innings, and capped off his Baseball Lifestyle 101 Pitcher of the Week performance by not allowing a single hit in four innings against Cotuit. Alivo has held his opponents to a 0.83 batting average, emerging as one of the Cape League’s top pitchers.
