
CAPE COD, Mass. — June 10, 2026 — The Cape Cod Baseball League, the nation’s premier collegiate summer baseball league, is proud to announce the return of the Codcast, the league’s official podcast. An essential companion for baseball fans everywhere, in 2026 the Codcast will feature a fresh voice and expanded vision, delivering in-depth storytelling, exclusive interviews, and unmatched access to the players, coaches, and personalities who define summer baseball on Cape Cod.
New this season, accomplished broadcaster Dani Wexelman takes over as host. With experience spanning MLB Network, ESPN, SNY and SiriusXM, and currently part of the St. Louis Cardinals’ broadcast team, Wexelman brings a dynamic and insightful approach to the show, offering listeners a deeper look at the journeys, personalities, moments and traditions that shape the game, by blending expert analysis with compelling human-interest storytelling.
Initial episodes will include interviews with Baseball Hall of Fame journalist Peter Gammons, Cape League Hall of Fame member and current Red Sox broadcaster, Lou Merloni, recent Baseball Hall of Fame and Cape League Hall of Fame inductee Bill Wagner and noted Cape League broadcaster alumni Mike Monaco and Rylee Pay.
“I’m incredibly honored and excited to join the Cape Cod Baseball League as the host of the Codcast,” said Wexelman. “The chance to tell the stories of these talented players, on and off the field, and to connect fans with the heart of the league is truly special. I can’t wait for listeners to come along for the ride.”
Cape Cod Baseball League President Andrew Lang emphasized the growing importance of the podcast in connecting the league with baseball fans everywhere.
“The Codcast plays an essential role in telling the story of the Cape League beyond our ballparks,” said Lang. “It allows us to showcase our players, our communities, and our legacy to a broad audience, while preserving the authenticity and tradition that make this league so special. Dani’s talent and passion make her the perfect voice to lead the Codcast into its next chapter.”
The Codcast is available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and more. It will also be available to watch on YouTube and Cape League TV.
