
The Cape Cod Baseball League’s brightest stars from the 2024 season will shine under the lights at Guv Fuller Field — the home of the Falmouth Commodores — in the Cape League All-Star Game, presented by Milton CAT, on July 27. The Cape League released its East and West Division All-Stars on Saturday. Here’s what you need to know about the 28 East Division All-Stars:
Starters:
Catcher: Ryder Helfrick (Brewster, Arkansas)
Helfrick, Perfect Game’s No. 33 prospect in his class, just completed his freshman season with the Razorbacks. After splitting time with Hudson White at Arkansas, Helfrick has starred as the Whitecaps’ primary catcher, hitting .286/.345/.612 with a league-leading 10 homers.
First base: Brody Donay (Brewster, Florida)
Donay began his collegiate career at Virginia Tech before transferring to Florida ahead of the 2024 season. With the Gators, he hit .246/.323/.527 and swatted 14 homers. In his second season on the Cape, Donay has a .262/.314/.523 slash line with five home runs.
Second base: Cade Kurland (Harwich, Florida)
Kurland was a 2023 SEC All-Freshman First Team honoree and has hit .272/.376/.508 across two seasons with the Gators. Playing for Harwich, Kurland has a .269/.347/.358 slash line. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 51 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Third base: Daniel Cuvet (Brewster, Miami)
Cuvet, Perfect Game’s No. 36 prospect in his class, starred as a freshman at Miami, blasting a program-record 24 homers. His performance earned him Baseball America Freshman All-American First Team honors. Thus far as a Whitecap, Cuvet’s dominance has continued, as he has a .325/.382/.584 slash line with six home runs.
Shortstop: Aiva Arquette (Chatham, Washington)
Arquette was an All-Pac-12 Team selection in 2024 and has hit .311/.386/.575 across two seasons at Washington. While playing for Chatham, Arquette has a .304/.369/.467 slash line. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 28 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Outfield: Ethan Petry (Y-D, South Carolina)
Petry was the 2023 Perfect Game National Freshman of the Year and a 2024 Preseason First Team All-American before suffering a mid-season injury. Petry has hit 44 homers across his 124 games as a Gamecock and his power surge has continued on the Cape. With the Red Sox, he has hit .364/.482/.773 with seven home runs. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 29 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Outfield: Nick Dumesnil (Brewster, California Baptist)
Dumesnil was named a Western Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team honoree in 2024 and has hit .357/.434/.661 across two seasons at California Baptist. With the Whitecaps, Dumesnil has continued to excel, hitting .309/.371/.479 while leading the Cape League with 19 stolen bases. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 9 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Outfield: Ashton Larson (Chatham, LSU)
Larson, Perfect Game’s No. 78 prospect in his class, was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team after hitting .298/.401/.426 with the Tigers. With Chatham, Larson has a .297/.357/.365 slash line.
Designated hitter: Easton Carmichael (Y-D, Oklahoma)
Carmichael was named to the 2023 Big 12 All-Freshman Team, was named to the 2024 NCBWA Third Team All-American and has hit .340/.380/.528 over two seasons at Oklahoma. On the Cape, Carmichael has a .276/.348/.459 slash line and four home runs. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 45 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Starting pitcher: Braden Osbolt (Y-D, Kennesaw State)
An All-Atlantic Sun Third Team honoree in 2024, Osbolt has a 4.40 ERA with 95 strikeouts across two years and 137 innings at Kenesaw State. Osbolt has pitched to another level on the Cape, with a 2.28 ERA across 23 2/3 innings pitched. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 60 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.

Reserves
Catcher: Ike Irish (Chatham, Auburn)
This is Irish’s second Cape League All-Star selection after making the team last season while playing for Brewster. Irish was named to the 2023 SEC All-Freshman First Team and was a 2024 First Team All-SEC honoree. Across two seasons at Auburn, he has a .343/.417/.582 slash line and 20 homers. Playing for Chatham, Irish has hit .303/.415/.404. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 7 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
First base: Jack Gurevitch (Orleans, San Diego)
Gurevitch was an All-WCC Second Team selection in 2024 after making the All-WCC Freshman Team in 2023. In his two years at San Diego, he hit .299/.420/.486. On the Cape, Gurevitch has been a staple in Orleans’ lineup, hitting .286/.375/.429.
Second base: Kaeden Kent (Brewster, Texas A&M)
This is Kent’s second Cape League All-Star selection after making the team last season while playing for Chatham. Across two seasons playing for Texas A&M, Kent has hit .301/.378/.440. In his second season on the Cape, Kent has a .281/.343/.344 slash line.
Shortstop: Drew Faurot (Brewster, Florida State)
Faurot was a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American at UCF in 2023 before transferring to Florida State. He hit .268/.336/.434 playing for the Seminoles in 2024. While on the Cape, Faurot has a .833 OPS across 19 games.
Outfield: JD Rogers (Brewster, Vanderbilt)
Rogers has hit .333/.462/.476 across two years at Vanderbilt, but he only had 21 at-bats. Playing every day for Brewster, Rogers has a .318/.458/.394 slash line and has 11 stolen bases.
Outfield: Ben Zeigler-Namoa (Orleans, Hawaii)
Zeigler-Namoa has a .263/.392/.359 slash line across two years with Hawaii. While on the Cape, Zeigler-Namoa leads the Firebirds in BA, OBP and SLG, hitting .348/.452/.538 across 22 games.
Utility: Hudson Shupe (Orleans, Gonzaga)
Shupe transferred to Gonzaga after playing his freshman season at Seattle University. He hit .284/.336/.414 with the Bulldogs as a sophomore. Playing for the Firebirds, Shupe has a .314/.392/.372 slash line.
Utility: Jake Ogden (Harwich, Miami)
Ogden began his collegiate career at Barry University before transferring to UNC Greensboro as a sophomore. He hit .313/.385/.482 with the Spartans, leading him to transfer to Miami for the 2025 season. Playing for the Mariners, Ogden has a .242/.305/.400.
Utility: Cam Maldonado (Harwich, Northeastern)
Maldonado was named a 2023 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American and has hit .316/.423/.573 across two seasons at Northeastern. Playing for the Mariners, Maldonado has a .277/.381/.422 slash line. He was recently named Baseball America’s No. 70 2025 MLB Draft college prospect.
Pitcher: Jake Clemente (Brewster, Florida)
Clemente missed his freshman season at Florida due to an injury and had a 5.34 ERA, primarily as a reliever, across 28 2/3 innings in 2024. On the Cape, Clemente has started four games, pitching 18 2/3 innings to a 1.93 ERA with 21 strikeouts.
Pitcher: Callan Fang (Orleans, Harvard)
Fang served primarily as a reliever with Harvard as a freshman in 2023, but he transitioned to starting in 2024 and was named the Ivy League’s Pitcher of the Year. Fang has continued to dominate with the Firebirds, pitching 24 1/3 innings to a 2.59 ERA with a league-leading 33 strikeouts.
Pitcher: Sean Youngerman (Y-D, Westmont)
As a sophomore at Westmont, Youngerman was named to the 2024 All-PacWest Third Team and he has a 3.49 ERA across his two collegiate seasons. Youngerman has pitched 19 2/3 innings to a 2.75 ERA with 28 strikeouts.
Pitcher: Cody Bowker (Orleans, Vanderbilt)
After serving as a two-way player his freshman season at Georgetown, Bowker made the full-time switch to the mound in 2024. He pitched to a 3.00 ERA with 59 strikeouts, earning All-BIG EAST Second Team honors and a transfer to Vanderbilt. Bowker has a 2.92 ERA across 24 2/3 innings on the Cape.
Pitcher: Trevor Moore (Y-D, Stanford)
Moore has a 6.50 ERA across two seasons at Vanderbilt. Though on the Cape, Moore has dominated, pitching 13 2/3 innings without allowing a run, striking out 26 and notching a league-high seven saves.
Pitcher: Itsuki Takemoto (Orleans, Hawaii)
Takemoto completed his freshman season at Hawaii in 2024 as a two-way player. On the mound, he had a 4.59 ERA across 33 1/3 innings. Takemoto has pitched to a league-leading 0.93 ERA among Cape League starting pitchers and has 21 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings.
Pitcher: Gabe Van Emon (Chatham, UConn)
Van Emon spent his first three collegiate seasons at Division III Endicott before transferring to UConn for the 2024 season. He pitched 59 2/3 innings with the Huskies to a 5.88 ERA. In 9 1/3 innings with Chatham, Van Emon has a 1.93 ERA and 12 strikeouts.
Pitcher: Will Ray (Brewster, Wake Forest)
Ray was an outfielder as a freshman at Wake Forest but has since transitioned to pitching. Ray had a 3.68 ERA across 44 innings as a junior in 2024. While pitching for Brewster, Ray has pitched 15 2/3 innings to a 2.87 ERA and has 23 strikeouts.
Pitcher: Aiven Cabral (Y-D, Northeastern)
Cabral earned All-CAA First Team honors as a freshman in 2023 before struggling in 2024. On the Cape, he has bounced back to 2023 form, pitching 14 2/3 innings to a 3.07 ERA with 20 strikeouts.
