Last Time Out - Bourne

Monday night’s showdown between the Braves and Kettleers ended early as the teams settled for a 3-3 tie in seven innings. Cotuit was first on the scoreboard after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the second inning. Bourne responded in the fourth when Blake Schaaf (Wake Forest) roped an RBI triple to the fence in center for the Braves’ first run. A batter later, the Bravos’ would take the lead on an RBI groundout that scored Schaaf. The Kettleers evened the game at two in the next half inning, but Bourne would take advantage of errors in the fifth to go right back into the lead. Cotuit would score one more run in the bottom of the sixth, tying the game before it would be called just one inning later.

Last Time Out - Hyannis

The Harbor Hawks fell below .500 on the season in their Monday night loss to Harwich. The Mariners busted out of the gate with four runs in the first two innings to put Hyannis behind early. Despite scoring runs in three of the last five innings, the Harbor Hawks weren’t able to climb out of the early deficit and lost the game 6-3.

Player to Watch - Bourne

LHP Aiden Stillman (Vanderbilt) is on the bump for the Braves tonight as the fourth consecutive left-handed starting pitcher to open the season for Bourne. Stillman finished his freshman season as a Commodore this past spring, making four starts and eight appearances with a 7.71 ERA in 14.0 innings. In 2024 Stillman was a member of the Team USA U18 National Team, where he threw 8.0 scoreless innings over two appearances.

This past spring with FGCU, Embury was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and a Buster Posey Award Semifinalist after batting .364 in 52 games with 17 home runs and 60 RBI.
