COTUIT, Mass.— On the final day of the 2024 CCBL regular season, the Cape League recognized personal achievements from its players for end-of-season awards.
After already being named team MVP for the Kettleers in a pre-game ceremony, Tanner Thach (UNC Wilmington) still had one more honor to receive. Alongside CCBL deputy commissioner Chris Fitzgerald and Cotuit general manager Bruce Murphy, Thach graciously accepted the Daniel J. Silva Sportsmanship Award.
The award is given annually to the player who embodies what the competition in the Cape League is about. Recommended by umpires, Thach exhibited a friendly demeanor during times of struggle and success.
