The Cotuit Athletic Association takes pride in its reputation as having the finest baseball diamond on Cape Cod. With the pristine setting and cozy confines of Lowell Park in the small village of Cotuit, the field itself is the most important facet of the Lowell Park property. The Cotuit Athletic Association has been the primary tenant of Lowell Park since 1947 and has been the overseer and financial provider of year-round maintenance and capital upgrades for 76 years (no 2020 season). The Cotuit Athletic Association and the Town of Barnstable have worked with user agreements since the late 1950s through the town's recreation division.
The Cotuit Athletic Association has been a good friend and partner with the town of Barnstable for 76 years and Lowell Park has hosted many baseball games and other community activities. In order to accomplish this, we maintain the field on a daily, weekly and monthly basis throughout the year. Volunteers cut grass, weed, thatch, prune trees and bushes, plant flowers, scrape and paint grandstands and buildings, apply fertilizer, clean windows, apply bark mulch, pick-up trash, do dump runs, raking inside and outside the field, clean gutters, put up and take down protective netting, put up and take down loudspeakers, provide minor sprinklet maintenance, put down sod, etc. The Cotuit Athletic Association's goal has and always will be to provide the baseball fan with the total baseball experience and first-class accommodations that the property can offer. In addition to the award-winning concession offerings and state-of-the-art press box building, restroom facility, grandstands and dugouts, the baseball diamond is the crowning glory. Many youth, high school and community baseball teams use Lowell Park on a regular basis in addition to the Cotuit Kettleers. Lowell Park's pristine appearance makes it a desirable venue for baseball games, youth baseball clinics and other activities and is a virtual magnet for the community when it comes to hosting important baseball and other community events.
