TWO INTERN POSITIONS
NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL ALSO HELP STAFF THE OFFICE , RETAIL AND GAME DAY OPERATIONS AS NEEDED
Individuals should have a proven interest in community or public relations and hopefully baseball. Preference will be given to college students who have public relations experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Intern will work as an integral part of the community relations and events team to create and execute all Kettleers events.
Special events and home games only throughout the regular season and playoffs.
Organize player appearances and come up with new creative ideas (must coordinate with head coach).
Create and implement promotions to market to the community before, during and after games.
Create fliers, pamphlets and schedules to distribute to local businesses to encourage attendance at all games and clinics and help deliver marketing material in the Cape Cod community.
Attend and assist all special events including but not limited to the following: annual Fourth of July parade and activities, annual hitting contest, fundraising events, clinics, pot luck dinners, etc.
Be at the field for pre/post game activities.
Serve as host for game attendees in VIP Suite.
Seek out players and coaches whose family members are attending home games and give information to PA announcer for in-game announcement (immediate family members only).
Seek out players and coaches who are celebrating birthdays on home game days and give information to PA announcer for in-game announcement.
Develop positive relationships with fans, clients and community members to help promote the Cotuit Kettleers organization.
Finding housing is the responsibility of the hired intern. The CAA will do their best to assist when able.
