Just finishing his 10th year at the helm for the Whitecaps, Shevchik has led the team to the final playoff round in three of the last seven years, bringing the CCBL championship home to Brewster in two of the three appearances.

During his 23-year career as Head Coach at Keystone College (Pa.), Coach Shevchik has built the Giants into a regional power, consistently ranked among the nation’s top 20 Division III programs.

Under his leadership, the team has made two appearances in the NCAA Division III Collegiate World Series, including a runner-up finish in 2016. His wins/losses record as head coach speaks for itself: 722-254 through games of May 8, 2024.

He has been honored as the CSAC Coach of the Year eight times and in 2018 was inducted into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame. In 2021 “Assistant Athletics Director” was added to his title. He earned his 700th career victory in the 2023 CSAC playoffs and guided his Giants to their 18th consecutive conference title.

Coach Shevchik had a solid record in collegiate summer baseball before coming to the Cape League, including an eight-year run as the head coach at Danbury in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. His Westerners made five NECBL playoff appearances and won their division in 2010 and 2012.

Brian Del Rosso is currently an assistant coach, working with Jamie Shevchik at his alma mater, Keystone College.

He started his coaching career at Diamond Nation, serving as pitching coordinator and head coach for the Diamond Jacks. During this time, he also played professionally with various independent teams, ranging from New Jersey and Ohio to Texas and New Mexico.

In 2021, the entire 2011 Keystone Giants baseball team, including Del Rosso, was inducted into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame.

Scott Grimes is currently the head coach at Division III Neumann University (Aston, Pa.). He has eight years of Division I coaching experience, including assistant positions at Delaware and La Salle.

He played professionally for eight years, including in the Can-Am Independent Professional Baseball League where in 2008 he was named Player of the Year and MVP. He followed that with one year in the New York Mets organization, finishing his playing days with the York Revolution in the Atlantic Independent League, where he won Player of the Year and set the league record for runs scored, a mark he still owns.

Before turning pro, Grimes was a four-year standout at Keystone College, and was inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.

Dylan Cooper is currently the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Division II West Virginia Wesleyan College.

He started his coaching career at Arlington Baptist University, also Division II, as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach, then moved to Division III Richland Junior College where he had similar responsibilities.

Cooper coached in the Metro Summer Collegiate League the last four years, and was named the league’s Coach of the Year in 2022.

Jordan played Division I baseball at Presbyterian College and was a part of the 2021 conference championship team. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

After Presbyterian he earned his Masters of Business Administration at Keystone College, where he also played his last year of NCAA baseball. While at Keystone he was named conference player of the week as well as second team all-conference starting pitcher. During his time at Keystone, he was also a part of the 2023 conference championship team. He is currently a volunteer coach at Keystone.

Rocco DePietro is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Keystone College baseball team and head coach Jamie Shevchik.

DePietro played at Keystone from 2019-22 and helped the team to two conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. He had previous college playing stints at Felician University and Lackawanna College.

He graduated from Lackawanna in 2018 with an associate degree in Sports Management and Keystone in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Business.
