Working at the helm for the Whitecaps for 12 years, Shevchik has led the team to the final playoff round in three of the last eight years, bringing the CCBL championship home to Brewster in two of the three appearances.

During his 25-year career as head coach at Keystone College (Pa.), coach Shevchik has built the Giants into a regional power, consistently ranked among the nation’s top 20 Division III programs.

Under his leadership, the team has made two appearances in the NCAA Division III Collegiate World Series, including a runner-up finish in 2016. His wins/losses record as head coach speaks for itself at 773-270.

He has been honored as the CSAC Coach of the Year nine times and in 2018 was inducted into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame. In 2021, “Assistant Athletics Director” was added to his title.

Coach Shevchik had a solid record in collegiate summer baseball before coming to the Cape League, including an eight-year run as the head coach at Danbury in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. His Westerners made five NECBL playoff appearances and won their division in 2010 and 2012.

John “Schiff” Schiffner is a Cape Cod Baseball League legend whose impact spans more than four decades. A former captain at Providence College, Schiff played for the Harwich Mariners from 1974–76 before becoming an assistant coach with Harwich and Chatham. He took over as Chatham’s manager in 1993 and went on to become the winningest manager in league history, with 541 regular-season victories over 25 seasons. Under his leadership, Chatham won league championships in 1996 and 1998, earned six division titles, and made 16 playoff appearances.

Schiffner coached more than 1,000 players, including over 160 future Major Leaguers like Kris Bryant, Mike Lowell, Evan Longoria, Andrew Miller, Todd Frazier and Brian Roberts. Off the Cape, Schiff spent more than 30 years as a teacher and head coach at Plainfield High School in Connecticut and coached at the University of Maine for three years while earning numerous coaching honors. He was inducted into both the Connecticut High School Coaches Hall of Fame and the CCBL Hall of Fame.

Brian Del Rosso is currently an assistant coach, working with Jamie Shevchik at his alma mater, Keystone College.

He started his coaching career at Diamond Nation (Flemington, N.J.), serving as pitching coordinator and head coach for the Diamond Jacks baseball program. During this time, he also played professionally with various independent teams, ranging from New Jersey and Ohio to Texas and New Mexico.

In 2021, the entire 2011 Keystone Giants baseball team, including Del Rosso, was inducted into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame.

Scott Grimes is currently the head coach at Division III Neumann University (Aston, Pa.). He has eight years of Division I coaching experience, including assistant positions at Delaware and La Salle.

Grimes played professionally for eight years, including in the Can-Am Independent Professional Baseball League where in 2008 he was named Player of the Year and MVP. He followed that with one year in the New York Mets organization, finishing his playing days with the York Revolution in the Atlantic Independent League, where he won Player of the Year and set the league record for runs scored, a mark he still owns.

Before turning pro, Grimes was a four-year standout at Keystone College, and was inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.

Darren Hagan played at Coppin State where he was named All-Conference in 2021 and was a part of the 2022 conference championship team. After transferring to Keystone College, he was a part of the 2024 conference championship team while being named All-Region and All-Conference.

He played for the Vermont Lake Monsters of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in 2021, winning a championship before also spending time with the Moose Jaw Miller Express of the Western Canadian Baseball League in 2024. Hagan is entering his second summer with the Brewster Whitecaps as outfield coach.

Dr. Jonathan F. Katz is a licensed psychologist and founding partner of High Performance Associates (HPA), a specialized team of performance coaches whose mission is to enhance and maximize the performance of individuals and teams. Dr. Katz is an experienced sports psychologist, working extensively with a variety of amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes and sports teams.

Nick Weisheipl spent the last two seasons with the Miami Marlins organization. He served as a player development coach in the Dominican Republic before managing the Single-A Jupiter Hammerheads, leading daily operations, staff coordination and the development of top prospects.

Prior to the Marlins, he was named the first head baseball coach at Cabrini University (Radnor, Pa.) launching the Cavaliers in 2017. A two-time Coach of the Year, he left Cabrini in 2024 as the Atlantic East Conference's all-time winningest coach.

During his more than 20-year college coaching career, Weisheipl has had stops at West Chester University, Villanova, Notre Dame College, University of Wisconsin-Stout and Clarke College. He and his wife, Megan, along with their two daughters, reside in East Norriton, Pa.

Cameron Hale is in his second season as the director of baseball operations at his alma mater, Keystone College. Hale played baseball at Keystone from 2022-24 and helped the team to two conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. He graduated in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Hale served as director of baseball operations for the Whitecaps last year and enters his second season in Brewster as director of pitching.
