SOUVENIR SALES

The Whitecaps need clerks in our Souvenir Booth. If you can give us four hours, one day a week for eight weeks, we’ll give you a 10% discount on all the merchandise we sell. People skills and neatness count, as we support the team with our souvenir profits. The booth is open at 4 p.m., and closes when the crowd leaves, usually around 8 p.m. Dress is casual. We play 3-4 home games a week, and could put three or four people to work to cover the season. Interested? Contact Katie Meinelt at katiemeinelt@gmail.com.

WELCOME WAGON AND PARKING COORDINATORS

Drive the Whitecaps’ six-seat golf cart from 4:30-6 p.m., then catch the rest of the game. You’ll monitor our parking lot at Stony Brook Field, helping fans to park safely and efficiently, and driving families and anyone needing assistance from their car to the gate. You’re our rolling information booth (yes, there are bleachers; no, we don’t allow beer and wine, it is school property), and you keep our staff informed of potential overcrowding at big games. We’d like adult volunteers to commit to 5-6 games each, and we’d love one to be our welcome coordinator, who makes sure someone’s behind the wheel for every game. ​50/50 RAFFLE

Adult volunteers are needed to help staff the Whitecaps 50/50 raffle table during home games. Can you help us for at least three and no more than five games this summer? The only skill involved is ripping tickets and being an ambassador for the Whitecaps. Arrive at 4:30 p.m. for set-up. The shift ends when all raffle prizes have been given out -- which is usually by the eighth inning. For more information, contact Claire Gradone at cgradone@comcast.net.

POSTGAME SUPPORT

There’s lots to do once the crowd goes home. We feed the team a postgame meal, take down our advertisers’ banners, empty the trash and recyclables, and prep the perimeter of the field for the next game. If you’re an adult who can give us 4-6 evenings from 7 p.m. until we’re cleaned up (usually by 8:30 p.m.), contact Game Day Coordinator Mike Gradone a mgradone@comcast.net

SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BEFORE A HOME GAME
