In a testament to organization-wide excellence, the Whitecaps have received the 2024 Paul Galop Commissioner’s Cup.

The award is presented annually to the team that demonstrates the “highest level of integrity and professionalism on and off the field, ensuring and enhancing the championship caliber of the Cape Cod Baseball League.”

Commissioner John Castleberry awarded the Cup to the Whitecaps before Saturday’s game against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox at Stony Brook Field.

“All aspects of the franchise are taken into consideration in-season and off-season, from staff and players to volunteers and interns, to all activities at the field and in the community. As well, all off-season interactions are assessed in the deliberations,” the league said in a statement.

2024 is the first year Brewster has earned the prestigious honor.

“It’s a real team effort,” said team president Luke Dillon. “It’s a credit to everyone who participated in the Whitecaps organization in 2024, including players, coaches, host families, interns, board members and all volunteers.”
