On Saturday afternoon, the Cape Cod League announced its All-Star Game rosters. Seven Mariners were selected to represent the East Division.

Center fielder Tre Broussard and third baseman Dee Kennedy will start for the East. Kyle Wolff and Tanner Marsh were selected as infield reserves. Maddox Molony and Aiden Robbins are among the four utility players on the roster. Christian Rodriguez is the sole pitcher to represent the Mariners.

Establishing himself as the team's leadoff hitter, Broussard is tied for sixth in the league with nine steals. His .279 batting average is second on the team, and his 17 hits lead the squad. His 4-for-4 performance on July Fourth against Brewster marked a turning point for him.

After helping Kansas St. make the NCAA Tournament, Kennedy has been an offensive leader for the Mariners. Among the qualified players on the team, his .883 OPS tops the team. His pinch-hit home run against Bourne was his first knock of the summer. His .464 BABIP is second best in the league.

A late addition to the team, Marsh wasted no time to solidify his spot in the lineup. He opened with a four-game hitting-streak, and now has 11 hits in 10 games. His .297 average is fifth on the team.

The Massachusetts-native Wolff has been a steady presence at first base. With a .353 OBP, he finds ways to get on base. He’s tied for third on the team with eight RBIs.

Molony does whatever the Mariners have asked him to do with excellence. He’s split his time between third and shortstop and seems to make a great play almost every day. At the plate, his 16 hits and two home runs are both second on the team.

After hitting over .400 at Seton Hall, Robbins has carried his hitting prowess to the Cape. Already with two home runs and three doubles in just nine games, his arrival proved to help turn around the Harwich offense.

Rodriguez will represent a pitching staff that has been among the best in the league. He’s been as reliable of an arm out of the bullpen as anyone. The righty has a perfect 0.00 ERA in 10 1/3 innings pitched. His 0.87 WHIP is the best on the Mariners for guys who have pitched at least 10 innings.

The seven will join the rest of the East Division All-Stars at Yarmouth-Dennis’ field next Saturday.
