The Cape Cod Baseball League has been a stop on the road of many professional baseball players, with roughly one in every six current MLB players having played in the CCBL. The Bourne Braves, especially, have had their fair share of future big league talent play at Doran Park. From the first round to the last of this year's MLB Draft, 27 former Bravos heard their names called. Here's who they are

DAY 1

OF Logan Hughes (Round 1: Pick 17 - Houston Astros)

Hughes was the first Brave off the board on day one, going to the Houston Astros in the first round. The 17th overall selection played in Bourne last summer, appearing in 24 games during the first half of the championship season. In that stretch, Hughes hit .265 with two home runs and an OPS of .759. This past spring at Texas Tech, he hit .375 with a 1.245 OPS and 18 home runs.

INF Justin Lebron (Round 1: Pick 18 - Cincinnati Reds)

Back-to-back former Braves were picked in the first round, with Lebron going to Cincinnati with the 18th overall selection. The infielder out of Alabama appeared in two games as a Brave during the summer of 2025. Over those two games, Lebron had a single and an RBI. In three years at Alabama, he had a career batting average of .313 and career OPS of .983.

INF Camden Kozeal (Round 3: Pick 87 - Miami Marlins)

Kozeal was the first Brave to be selected in the third round, going to the Marlins with the 87th overall pick. Between 2024 and 2025, the infielder played in 41 games for Bourne. His best season came in 2024, when he played in 30 games and hit .252 with a .753 OPS and two home runs. This past spring with Arkansas, Kozeal hit 20 home runs and had an OPS of 1.016.

OF Peyton Bonds (Round 3: Pick 90 - San Francisco Giants)

The nephew of Giants legend Barry Bonds was selected by San Francisco with the 90th overall pick. In his limited time with the Braves in 2025, Bonds had two doubles in six plate appearances and picked up a stolen base. Bonds was also a member of the Rutgers baseball team the past two seasons, totaling a batting average of .321 and 11 home runs.

INF Ryan Cooney (Round 3: Pick 103 - Toronto Blue Jays)

Cooney, one of the most important pieces of the Braves’ championship run in 2025, was selected 103rd overall to the Blue Jays. The right-handed batter collected six hits in the West League Championship Series to help Bourne earn a three-game series win over Cotuit. This past season with Oregon, Cooney hit .331 with 22 doubles and an OPS of .944.

INF Kade Lewis (Round 4: Pick 123 - Cleveland Guardians)

Another big piece of Bourne’s 2025 championship run, Lewis was selected 123rd overall to the Cleveland Guardians. Over his past two seasons at Wake Forest, Lewis has accumulated a .382 career batting average and 1.120 career OPS. In the summer of 2025, the infielder appeared in 37 games for the Braves and had a .267 batting average.

DAY 2

LHP Ethan McElvain (Round 5: Pick 151 - Kansas City Royals)

The first former Bravo drafted on day two, McElvain was picked 151st overall to the Kansas City Royals. The lefty made three starts for Bourne in the 2024 season, with a 0.77 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 11.2 innings. This past spring, McElvain was named Second-Team All-American and Second-Team All-SEC for Arkansas after making 20 appearances out of the bullpen with a 1.88 ERA and six saves.

RHP Tyler Fay (Round 6: Pick 169 - Pittsburgh Pirates)

Fay is the second pitcher from the 2024 Braves’ team to be selected in this year’s draft, going 169th overall to the Pittsburgh Pirates. During his 2024 campaign in Bourne, Fay made nine appearances and three starts with a 3.16 ERA. In his collegiate career, the righty had a 5.21 career ERA over three seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

LHP Zane Adams (Round 6: Pick 171 - Baltimore Orioles)

Just two picks after his former Alabama and Bourne teammate, Adams was selected 171st overall by the Baltimore Orioles. The lefty made 17 starts this past season for the Crimson Tide, helping to lead them to the Men's College World Series. During his time in Bourne in 2024, Adams made five appearances and three starts with a 4.76 ERA.

INF Nu-u Contrades (Round 6: Pick 186 - San Diego Padres)

Contrades was the first former Braves’ position player selected on day two, going 186th overall to the San Diego Padres. The infielder played in 16 games for the Braves’ 2023 championship team, batting .292 with 9 RBI. Contrades played all four of his collegiate seasons at Arizona State, appearing in 158 games with a .324 career batting average.

RHP Max Bayles (Round 7: Pick 197 - Minnesota Twins)

Bayles was the first former Brave to be selected in the seventh round, going 197th to the Minnesota Twins. The righty made three appearances out of the bullpen for Bourne in 2025, when he threw 4.1 scoreless innings and earned a save. Over his three-year career at Santa Clara University, Bayles made 51 appearances and 29 starts with a 3.45 ERA.

LHP Beau Bryans (Round 7: Pick 208 - San Francisco Giants)

Another 2024 Brave went off when the San Francisco Giants selected Bryans with the 208th overall pick. The southpaw joined Bourne for the first half of that season, making five appearances and two starts. Over 15 innings of work in total, Bryans had 14 strikeouts and a 3.00 ERA. This past spring Bryans was a starter at Jacksonville State where he had seven wins and a 3.66 ERA.

RHP Chase Meyer (Round 9: Pick 277 - Chicago Cubs)

Meyer became the sixth member of Bourne’s 2024 team to be selected, going 277th to the Chicago Cubs. The righty made seven appearances for Bourne with a 1.77 ERA over 20.1 innings. The West Virginia product was supposed to be the Mountaineers’ top arm and a highly touted prospect going into this past spring. However, a locker room incident led to him being dismissed from the team and dropping on draft boards.

RHP Dominic Mauro (Round 10: Pick 291 - Athletics)

After 10 rounds and 290 picks, Mauro became the first Brave from this year’s team to be selected. Mauro made six appearances in each of the last two summers for Bourne, all coming out of the bullpen. This summer, the righty had a 1.46 ERA with 13 strikeouts. In his first season with Cincinnati this past spring, Mauro came out of the bullpen 21 times and had a 5.27 ERA.

OF Kuhio Aloy (Round 11: Pick 330 - New York Mets)

The brother of Baltimore Orioles’ first-round pick Wehiwa Aloy, Kuhio was selected by the New York Mets with the 330th overall pick. The outfielder played 16 games in the first half of the 2025 season, batting .333 with a .963 OPS. Aloy had been a star at Arkansas the past two years as well. In 110 games with the Razorbacks, he recorded 130 hits, slugged 22 homers and drove in 111 runs.

UTL Braden Holcomb (Round 12: Pick 345 - Chicago White Sox)

Holcomb, another member of the Braves’ 2025 championship team, was selected 345th to the Chicago White Sox. Holcomb had a breakout year at Vanderbilt this past spring, where he hit .352 with an OPS of 1.055 and 14 home runs. The outfielder was a staple of Bourne over the last two summers, playing 36 games or more in each season. Over his time as a Brave, Holcomb totaled 80 hits, 42 RBI and 18 stolen bases.

RHP Griffin Stieg (Round 13: Pick 378 - Pittsburgh Pirates)

The first former Brave to be selected in the 13th round was Stieg, going 378th overall to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The righty played with Bourne during the summer of 2023, throwing 6.2 innings over three appearances with 10 strikeouts. Stieg most recently played collegiate ball at Virginia Tech, where he made 15 starts this past spring.

LHP Will Whelan (Round 13: Pick 387 - Texas Rangers)

Whelan became the second player from this year’s Braves team to be drafted, going 387th to the Texas Rangers. As a starter this summer, Whelan dominated with a 0.50 ERA across four outings. Last summer, the lefty was a reliever on the championship Braves team, making nine appearances from the bullpen with 20.2 innings thrown and a 1.31 ERA. Over his three-year career at Minnesota, Whelan made 35 appearances out of the bullpen.

LHP Colin Fisher (Round 13: Pick 388 - San Francisco Giants)

Another former member of both the Bourne Braves and Arkansas Razorbacks, Fisher was selected 388th overall to the San Francisco Giants. Fisher made six appearances for the Bravos in 2025, with a 6.11 ERA over 17.2 innings. This past spring at Arkansas, the southpaw made 10 starts and 18 appearances in total, earning a 5.59 ERA.

RHP Zach Konstantinovsky (Round 14: Pick 406 - Washington Nationals)

In the fourteenth round, Konstantinovsky went off the board to the Washington Nationals. The righty made six appearances and four starts for Bourne in 2025. In that span, he gave up six earned runs over 14.2 innings for a 3.68 ERA. This past spring at Rutgers, Konstantinovsky made 15 starts in his redshirt sophomore season with a 5.48 ERA.

RHP Jaden Alba (Round 14: Pick 414 - St. Louis Cardinals)

Alba became the third member of this year’s Braves’ team to be selected in the draft, going 414th overall to the St. Louis Cardinals. In four appearances and three starts this summer, Alba had a 1.13 ERA and 16 strikeouts. In his collegiate career, Alba was most recently an Arizona State Sun Devil. In 17 appearances, he threw 49.2 innings with 59 strikeouts.

LHP Zach Crotchfelt (Round 14: Pick 420 - New York Mets)

At 420th overall, the reliever for the Braves in 2024 was selected by the New York Mets. Crotchfelt made eight appearances out of the bullpen and threw 10.1 innings with 17 strikeouts. This past spring, the lefty made his presence known at a national level with Troy. Crotchfelt was an important part of the Trojans’ run to the Men’s College World Series, earning selections to the Sun Belt All-Conference Tournament Team and Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team in this past spring's NCAA Tournament.

LHP Edwin Alicea (Round 14: Pick 426 - Detroit Tigers)

Alicea was another member of this year’s pitching staff selected in the Draft, going 426th to the Detroit Tigers. The lefty made two appearances for Bourne this summer, throwing 6.1 innings without allowing a run. Though he committed to Georgia earlier this summer, Alicea was a member of the University of South Florida baseball team this past spring. In 15 appearances and eight starts there, he had a 5.14 ERA.

LHP Madden Clement (Round 15: Pick 449 - Kansas City Royals)

After three starts for the Braves this summer, Clement was selected 449th overall by the Kansas City Royals. In his 12.1 innings for Bourne, Clement had 18 strikeouts and only allowed 10 hits. The lefty was a three-year member of the Virginia Tech Hokies before entering the transfer portal this summer, with a career 4.74 ERA there.

C Mark Quatrani (Round 18: Pick 545 - San Diego Padres)

The first and only position player from this year’s Braves team to hear his name called during the draft was Quatrani. The backstop played parts of the last two seasons in Bourne, picking up 17 hits and three home runs. Quatrani transferred to Notre Dame this past fall, where he was a Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Semifinalist.

RHP Jackson Mitchell (Round 19: Pick 565 - Miami Marlins)

Mitchell, a reliever for the 2024 Braves, was selected 565th overall in this year’s draft. The Miami Marlins’ pick appeared in four games for Bourne two years ago and had a 6.75 ERA. This past spring at Binghamton, Mitchell had a great season with a 4.22 ERA and was named Second-Team America East All-Conference.

C Weber Neels (Round 19: Pick 566 - Arizona Diamondbacks)

Neels was the final former Brave selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, going 566th overall to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The backstop played 10 games for Bourne in the summer of 2025, hitting .303 with an OPS of .804. Neels is a product of the University of Minnesota, where he played all four of his collegiate seasons. In his time as a Gopher, Neels collected 210 hits and 43 home runs.
