Intern Position Descriptions

APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 31, 2026.

Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis and no later than February 28, 2026.

These positions will be required to attend all home and away games. They are responsible for their own transportation to all games.

Online play-by-play broadcaster (2 needed)

The Bourne Braves are looking for two broadcast interns to be the voices of the Bourne Braves for the 2026 season. This internship is focused on providing play-by-play on Live Stream Broadcasts (HUDL and YouTube) as well as other content (pre- and post-game shows, social media, podcast, etc). You will help identify and secure guests, help create the show outline, and ensure we're ready for live game broadcasts. Our home game broadcasts are streamed live through HUDL and YouTube. Our live away game broadcasts are audio only and also streamed through YouTube.

Sideline Reporter

The Bourne Braves are looking for a sideline reporter to be a part of the broadcast team. This intern will be focused on conducting interviews on our Live Stream Broadcasts (HUDL and YouTube during games, as well as anchoring the pre- and post-game shows. You will help identify and secure guests, help create the show outline, and ensure we're ready for live broadcasts. Our home game broadcasts are streamed live through HUDL and YouTube. Our live away game broadcasts are audio only and also streamed through HUDL and YouTube.

Broadcast Producer

The Bourne Braves are looking for one intern to lead our production team. This intern will be focused on producing our Live Stream Broadcasts (HUDL and YouTube) as well as pre- and post-game shows. You will work with the broadcast team on identifying and securing guests, creating the show outlines, and ensuring we're ready for live broadcasts. You will instruct the camera operators and work with them to capture all action during home games. Our home game broadcasts are streamed live through HUDL and YouTube. Our live away game broadcasts are audio only and also streamed through HUDL and YouTube.

Broadcast Producer Assistant **

The Bourne Braves are looking for one intern to assist our production team for the Live Stream Broadcasts (HUDL and YouTube). This intern will assist in uploading stats and graphics to the broadcast and help the producer during the live stream.

Camera Operator** (3 needed)

The Bourne Braves are looking for two interns to operate cameras are all our home games. The individuals should have a proven interest in sports video production, and a complete understanding of the game of baseball is required. Preference will be given to college students who have video production and media-related majors and have been actively involved in video production and media, and sports programs. These operators are only required to be at home games.

Social Media Lead

The Bourne Braves are seeking one individual to manage all our social media channels (Meta, X, and TikTok) from the time of hire (remotely) through the playoffs. Each social media account is important due to the varying age groups in our fan base. This position will work with the social media assistant, videographer, and photographers to ensure we are producing content daily, promoting the games, other special events, and engaging with our fans on all platforms. This position will also work with the broadcast team and beat reporter to ensure all content they produce is posted promptly. During games, this position will provide constant updates on X and every couple of innings on Meta. The social media channels should not just portray action on the field and about the players and coaches, but also all activity around the team and on the fields. A strong understanding of baseball is required.

Social Media Assistant

The Bourne Braves are seeking one individual to assist in managing and updating the Bourne Braves’ social media accounts, with a primary focus on X (formerly Twitter). Post real-time game updates, including scores, highlights, and key moments. Create engaging content to promote upcoming games, events, and player achievements. Monitor and respond to fan interactions and messages on social media platforms. Collaborate with the social media team to develop and execute social media campaigns. A strong understanding of baseball is required.

Videographer (2 needed)

The Bourne Braves are seeking two dynamic, energetic, and creative visual storytellers to help create content for the summer of 2026. This position will be the social media department’s chief videographer — engaging, exciting, and inspiring our fan base to consume and share a steady diet of compelling content on various social media platforms. The Videographers will also work closely with members of the social media and broadcast teams, ensuring that vision aligns with the Braves’ ongoing brand.

Photographers (2 needed)

The Bourne Braves are looking for two photographers to serve as the official team photographers in 2026. These interns will be focused on taking photos for the Braves' social media channels, website, and area news publications. These positions will have a unique opportunity to cover a baseball team with absolute access to the team, coaching staff, and game action. Photographers will need to have their own cameras and equipment.

Beat Reporter

The Bourne Braves are looking for a beat reporter to be a part of the broadcast team. Internship runs from the date of hire through the end of the season, including playoffs. This intern will focus on writing stories, game summaries, and other relevant content for the Braves website and area news publications. This is a unique opportunity to cover a baseball organization with access to players (current and past) and coaching staff. Stories will be written during the off-season before the 2026 summer. Examples of those stories include Braves alumni updates, MLB playoff stories involving Braves alumni, 2026 coaching staff updates, 2026 Braves roster updates, etc.

Baseball Operations (4 needed)

The Bourne Braves are looking for four individuals who have a complete understanding of the game of baseball and a proven interest in statistics. Preference will be given to college students who have sports-related majors, a strong interest in baseball, and experience working with college baseball teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must have experience in field preparation as well as hitting fungos and throwing batting practice. These positions will be required to become acquainted with players’ names, coaches’ names, and uniform numbers before the season, and secure and update a daily list of players via league transactions. Maintain an up-to-date list of players currently on all rosters. Score every game with game notes and track pitches with pitch speeds, as well as interact with Trackman and Synergy representatives. Work very closely with the coaching staff and assist with projects/duties as assigned.

MLB Scout Liaison

The Bourne Brave are looking for one individual who must have a complete understanding of the game of baseball. Extensive knowledge of baseball (rules, pitches/talent, and history) is required. Technology skills (Word, Excel, internet research capabilities, and social media) are required. Preference will be given to college students who have sports-related majors and have been actively involved in baseball and sports programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. The MLB Scout Liaison is the connection between each Cape Cod Baseball League franchise and the MLB scouts. The MLB Scout Liaison is the contact person for major league scouts to communicate necessary scouting information for each CCBL franchise. Monitor and track game-day lineups, probable starting pitcher, batting practice, and infield practice schedule, weather outlook, injury update, etc., and send a Tweet every day by 10:00 AM to inform scouts of this latest news. Arrive two hours before every game to coordinate applicable information with interested scouts, answer questions, and produce the stat sheet for fans (at home games only). Assist the organization with projects/duties as assigned.

Bullpen Catcher

The Bourne Braves are looking for one individual with strong baseball catching experience. The applicant should have extensive high school and/or college catching experience. The applicant must be an experienced catcher. The main responsibility is to be available for the pregame pitcher workout and to warm up relief pitchers during the game. This is an opportunity to work with the Braves coaches and the collegiate pitchers.

Athletic Trainer

The Bourne Braves are looking for one individual to work with our athletic trainer. The individual must be in an accredited program or in an athletic trainer track. Their responsibilities will include Field setup, Daily treatments and evaluations, Daily record keeping, and Inventory management. A strong candidate will have good communication skills, be able to document injuries and treatment efficiently, and feel comfortable accompanying athletes to doctors’ appointments. Prior experience with baseball is not necessary. This position should plan on working 40 hours a week.

Manager of Game Day Operations

The Bourne Braves are looking for one individual who will work closely with the VP of Game Day Operations, Concessions Director, and Merchandise Director to oversee the team of game day operations interns to run all areas of the fan experience at all home games. This includes, but is not limited to, the gate, 50/50 raffle, concessions, merchandise, pre-game ceremonies, all set up and thorough clean up of the field, including all trash. This position requires the ability to oversee your peers and make sure they do their job. Strong oral, organizational, and leadership skills are needed. This position will oversee both college and high school interns and needs to be sensitive to both age groups.

Game Day Operations (12 needed)

The Bourne Braves are looking for individuals who have a proven interest in sports management and baseball. Preference will be given to college students who have sports-related majors and high school students who are actively involved in sports programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are preferred. These positions are responsible for creating the fan experience at all home games, as well as working in all areas such as gate, 50/50 raffle, merchandise, concessions, etc. These positions are also responsible for setting up and cleaning up the field before and after each home game. Other tasks as assigned by the manager of game day operations/VP of game day operations to provide a great experience for our fans.

Public Address Announcer

The Bourne Braves are looking for an individual who will announce all home games, including lineups, public service announcements, sponsors' advertisements, and play music during the game to create a fun environment for fans.

Assistant to the General Manager/Scoreboard Operator

The Bourne Braves are looking for an individual who will run the scoreboard during all home games. In addition, this position will also assist the General Manager with tasks such as handing out uniforms, ensuring the team has the equipment they need, and other tasks as assigned. A knowledge of baseball is necessary.

Marketing & Public Relations

The Bourne Braves are seeking a Marketing & Communications intern to manage the team’s email newsletter, attend all community events featuring players, and serve as the liaison between the team and event hosts. This role also involves coordinating with sponsors and community partners to ensure smooth communication and strong relationships. Ideal candidates will have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, and a passion for public relations and community engagement.

Baseball Clinic Coordinator

The Bourne Braves are looking for an individual who will work as part of the game-day operations team during all home games. And in addition, this position will work with the board member who oversees clinics and be responsible for attending the clinics on the first day, register participants, hand out applicable information and ensure all payments are collected. Then produce an excel spreadsheet with the entire roster for that week.
