Another important divisional game awaits the Gatemen.
Wareham heads to Guv Fuller Field for the second time in 2026 to face the Commodores for the third of six meetings in the season series: the Gatemen won the recent matchup at Spillane Field but fell in extras on the road back in mid-June.
Wareham fell in a defensive battle in Chatham on Thursday and Falmouth recorded its highest run total (9) since beating Wareham on June 21st. While the Commodores were no hit just five days ago, they just beat the Harbor Hawks for their sixth home win of the summer.
The Gateman have an opportunity to grab another West Division win and get momentum into the back half of their five-game stretch ahead of Monday’s league-wide off-day.
Starting Pitchers: Stephens vs. Rosado
Wareham: Jordan Stephens (South Carolina) last threw on America’s 250th birthday and only allowed one hit against Bourne, the current West Division leaders. The Gatemen have allowed a combined 13 runs to the Commodores in their previous two meetings, and now Stephens and his 1.04 ERA to keep a strong divisional lineup off of the scoreboard. After three consecutive relief appearances to start 2026, Stephens makes his third straight start of the summer.
Falmouth: The Commodores only allowed a single run on four hits against the Harbor Hawks on Friday. They also totaled 14 strikeouts while giving out just two free passes. Kaniel Rosado (UCF) had an up-and-down CCBL debut out of the bullpen, but can carry the ‘Dores’ recent defensive momentum in his first start of the summer. He allowed six runs in two collegiate starts this past spring.
Players To Watch
Gatemen: Levi Clark (Tennnesse) was one of Wareham’s two multi-hit players in Chatham on Thursday, and extended his hit streak to six games. He has three hits against Falmouth already this summer, with two base knocks in the Gatemen’s last matchup with the Commodores, and looks to add to his team-high 16-hit total.
Commodores: After Falmouth was no-hit against Bourne on Sunday, Carter White (Mississippi State) stepped up with multiple hits in his first two games in the Cape League. He also notched four RBIs in that span, providing a spark in the middle of the lineup. Most batters don’t come into the CCBL on a hot streak, and now White can prove that his early success wasn’t just beginner’s luck.
